Jess L.'s Story
Life
I grew up in the small town of Trinidad, Colorado,
home of six Colorado Hall of Fame Band Directors.
I received college degress from UNC, UCLA and CU.
I was the band and orchestra director at Englewood
High School for 21 great years. I was also the Director
of Entertainment for the Denver Broncos and director

he Denver Bronco Band from 1967 to 1997.
Currently I am trying to retire, but I keep busy
performing with my professional bands and adjudicating
bands at contests and festivals. I have never married.
I currently live in my newly renovated home in
Englewood, Colorado. I always like to see and hear
from former students.
